London is slowly making the transition from the golden days of autumn to the darker and colder ones of early winter, but I’m still reluctant to break out the heavier coats or thick wool scarfs. Like many other menswear enthusiasts, I adore this time of year where you can layer up with a few simple, but colorful pieces that go well with the striking foliage all around town.
In this case, a pair of beige cotton trousers, a grey turtleneck and navy jacket gets a bit of character with addition of a simple silk/cotton paisley scarf.
I recently picked up the scarf from Hawes & Curtis on Jermyn Street and will try to get as much wear out of it before having to switch to a warmer wool one – I’ve been eying several of the ones from Drake’s, which are in an absolute league of their own, but demands a bit more consideration at the higher price point. So for the time being, this little silk number will likely make a number of appearances in posts over the coming weeks.
